Hello. This is Finn now.

Trevi fountain was closed for construction. When we got there, we first thought it wasn't it. But then we were kind of annoyed when we figured it out. It was entirely empty, surrounded by a fence, and covered with bridges. We wanted to through in coins because there is a special myth that says this: If you throw in one coin, you will return to Rome. If you throw in two, you will return to Rome and fall in love. If you throw in three coins, you will return to Rome, fall in love and get married. Alaine threw in one, which hit a bridge and didn't count, so she threw in another one.I did the same thing as her. Lane threw in one, which went right in. Coen threw in three directly.

After Trevi Fountain we wanted to go to a nearby mozzarella bar. The mozzarella bar is a special restaurant that has their own special touch of mozzarella cheese on each dish. There were supposed to be two different locations of the restaurant, with the main one by Trevi Fountain and the other one by our apartment. We looked for the one by the fountain, but we couldn't find it. We found the exact street it was supposed to be on and went down the street, but it wasn't there. We're still not really sure what happened to it. So we just went back to the one near the apartment. People had mixed feelings about the food there. Most of us agree that Lane got a really good pizza but the rest of the stuff was just mediocre. It was kind of a let down because people got our hopes up really high.

 
We had a very relaxed morning today. We had tickets reserved for the Vatican Museum at 1:00 and we got up reasonably early, which gave us a lot of time. Alaine and Lane went out for espresso, tea and croissants early in the morning. We mostly just hung out at the apartment and played games. When it was time to leave, we walked to the Vatican. It was closer than the Colosseum, but farther than the fountain. It took about 25 minutes. There was not much security to get into the Vatican, and there weren't many guards in the rooms. We saw a lot of people who were wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts, even though we heard that it wasn't allowed. The art was cool, but there was too much of the same stuff. Also there were too many statues and paintings of naked people. In a courtyard area there was this huge mechanical-looking golden sphere that had a smaller golden sphere smashed into it. We're not really sure what it was supposed to be for, but it looked cool.

After we got out of the main museum, Lane forced us all to go into the Basilica, which is the biggest church in the world. There was a huge line, that must have taken 30 minutes. It was gigantic from the inside. There was art on all the walls and places to have ten different services at once. There were probably four popes entombed there. It was pretty cool, but I don't think it was worth the line. Then we had gelato and went back to the apartment.
